Corrections
Every published page on Trendoops has been checked by a person. If one is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and record what changed.
Report an error
Use the form below to report a factual error, a broken or dead source, outdated information, an incorrect statistic, an incorrect date, or wording that misleads. Please include the page URL and what you believe is wrong.
You do not need an account, and you do not need to identify yourself.
What happens next
An editor reviews every report. Reports about health, financial, legal, and political claims are prioritised. If the report is correct we fix the page and record the correction: what was wrong, what is right, when it was corrected, and which editor made the change.
Corrections are published rather than quietly patched. A page that has been corrected stays up; it is not deleted, because an error that is hidden is an error that can recur unchallenged.
If we disagree
We do not correct every disagreement. A difference of interpretation or opinion is not a factual error, and we will say so. What we will always correct is a claim that does not match its cited source, a figure that does not match the source it is attributed to, a date that is wrong, and a source that no longer supports what we said it said.
Report a correction
Every report is read by an editor. If we got something wrong, we fix it and record the change on the page. Your email is optional and is only used to tell you what happened.
